The Rajasthan High Court Advocates Association hosted the 6th State Advocates T20 Cricket Tournament — Challenge Cup 2026 — from 25 February to 1 March, bringing together 28 teams of advocates from across the state in a spirited display of sportsmanship.
The tournament opened with an inauguration ceremony on the night of 25 February, graced by Dr. Justice Pushpendra Singh Bhati and Acting Chief Justice Sanjeev Prakash Sharma as chief guests. Addressing the gathering, the chief guest delivered a speech marking the occasion, before the tournament was formally declared open. The first match, played the following day, was witnessed by Justice Mukesh Rajpurohit, Justice Sanjeet Purohit, and Justice Sunil Beniwal as guests of honour, who inaugurated the on-field proceedings by bowling the ceremonial first ball.
Over the course of the week, teams battled it out across the group stages and knockouts, building up to a high-voltage final on 1 March between Rajasthan High Court Association, Jodhpur, and District Bar Association, Jaipur. Played under dazzling floodlights, the final was graced by the presence of Jogaram Ram Patel, Cabinet Minister for Parliamentary Affairs, Law & Legal Affairs, Legal Consultancy, and Justice in the Government of Rajasthan. In a closely fought contest, District Bar Association, Jaipur, emerged victorious, lifting the Challenge Cup as champions of the 2026 edition. The tournament once again showcased the camaraderie and competitive spirit within Rajasthan’s legal fraternity, continuing a tradition now in its sixth year.
